Placement Cell

Placement Cell interacts with the reputed organizations for arranging campus interviews for the final year students. We make efforts to organize technical seminars, workshops and corporate expectation sessions. Industry personnel are invited periodically to enrich the knowledge of our student community with the latest technological innovations and industry practices. We produce graduates who are well equipped to handle the working norms of the industry and commerce in the public and private sectors and helping every student to define his/her career interest through individual counselling through experts.

In the context of Globalization, the students of VSISCM must be capable of grabbing career opportunities available across the world soon after graduating. With this intent, the Management of VSISCM established Placement Cell during 2014-15.

Along with this, Guidelines regarding Constitution of Placement Cell Committees, details of Programmes to be organized thought-out the Academic Year through these Placement Cells, Circulars regarding various Competitive Exams and Jobs Fairs are being issued by Placement Cell. The progress of Placement Cell initiatives is also revived at the CPC. Several Workshops are being organized to highlight the role of Placement Cells in Higher Education & NAAC Process for the Principals, Convenors of Placement Cell and IQAC Convenors and for Faculty Members.

Also, programmes are being organized for final year Degree & Post Graduate students regarding Skills for facing Interview, Resume Writing, details regarding various Competitive Exams, Jobs at Corporate Sectors, Self-Employment etc., Alongside, in the Interest of Students, introductory Training & Information is also being provided to students concerning Civil Services Examination viz., IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc., Probationary Officers Examinations & the like.

Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent institution. The Training and Placement Cell, guided by a set of rules and principles, strives to maintain good relationship with industries. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting corporations for pre-placement talks on the campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end, is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavours to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.

Training activities:

The training department helps the students to improve their employability skills in order to face the campus interview confidently and also to meet out the corporate expectations. We offer both internal and external kinds of training for the students right from the first year. The training department provides aptitude, communication, soft skills, technical and programming training to the students as a value-added program.
