Vidya Sanskaar Institute of Science, Commerce, and Management is home to the Human Rights Cell, a dedicated organization dedicated to promoting equality, dignity, and justice. The Cell fosters awareness, protects human rights, and promotes inclusivity and social justice on campus. Its mission is to empower students to advocate for human rights, both within the academic setting and in the broader community. The Cell equips students with the knowledge and tools to address contemporary human rights issues through workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns. It also engages in practical initiatives, such as organizing events, collaborating with human rights organizations, and participating in community outreach. The Cell fosters partnerships with like-minded organizations and brings guest speakers, activists, and experts to campus to inspire and educate. The Cell welcomes students passionate about gender equality, social justice, and marginalized communities to join the campus culture where human rights are respected and actively championed.

Objectives

  • Foster an understanding of human rights principles among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Create an environment free from discrimination and harassment, ensuring the protection of individuals' rights.
  • Safeguard the rights of freedom of expression and assembly within the institution.
  • Focus on the rights and protection of vulnerable or marginalized groups within the campus community.
  • Engage in partnerships and collaborations with external human rights organizations to enhance advocacy efforts.
