My educational beliefs
We believe that everyone has the right to education. It is the responsibility of the educator to impart knowledge to the learner by engaging her in the process of learning. Education should be a wonderful experience to the child that would foster the desire to learn. Webelieve that education should be skill based, which improves decision making and problem solving skills in the learner. The purpose of education should be to prepare the child for the challenges ahead and to identify opportunities that enable them to select career based on their interests and talents.We also believe that to connect with millennials today, as teachers, we need to be approachable and respect and value the child’s point of view. Students learn better with peers. So we need to encourage the ability to work collaboratively. 21st century students are technology driven. Keeping this in mind, we need to implement technology in teaching this generation. Embedding technology in the basics of education, could be very helpful for their future. We need to keep ourselves abreast of the latest technology in education. A good understanding of how technology in education influences the modern world gives the student that knowledge which they can apply to other subjects and in everyday life. Picasso once famously asserted “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
